Obesity

The World Obesity Atlas 2022, published by the World Obesity Federation predicts that one billion people globally, including 1 in 5 women and 1 in 7 men, will be living with obesity by 2030

 It affects the heart, liver, kidneys,  joints, and reproductive system. It leads to a range of noncommunicable diseases (NCDs), such as type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular disease, hypertension and stroke, various forms of cancer, as well as mental health issues. People with obesity are also three times more likely to be hospitalized for COVID-19.
